About Us
The Learning Light creates and promotes fun and practical educational materials and programs.
The main product of The Learning Light is Spanish that Works, a course in practical Spanish conversation that can be customized to fit the needs of a specific group or organization. The first published version of the course, Spanish that Works in the Library, developed out of a collaboration between Elizabeth Almann (a professional teacher and educational materials writer), and her sister Margaret Thompson (Latino Outreach Coordinator of the Teton County Library in Jackson, Wyoming). The Learning Light currently has Spanish that Works courses for educators and community members, and is developing new programs for other service professionals.
