Spanish that Works gives you Spanish that you can really use!
Practical. This course is for beginners, or for those who have studied grammar but want to learn how to speak. The newly revised and expanded text explains structures using a core vocabulary of basic words (name, pencil, street, take) and then provides practice with court things (citation, continuance, drivers' license), court places (courtroom, waiting room, window), and court actions (pay a fine, see the judge, go to the window).
Functional. Emphasis is placed on active participation in group and pair work, which includes practice with flashcards and dialogue role-play. Participants learn how to do practical things with the language, such as how to ask for a driver's license or tell customers what time they should appear in court.
Manageable. The course can be completed in 2 hours a week for 8 weeks, for a total of 16 hours of instruction. There are no written tests, and you won't have homework conjugating verbs or answering questions. All you are asked to do is to review vocabulary and dialogues between lessons.
Successful. For testimonials from students who have tried the Spanish that Works method, please visit the clients link. For more information about the course, go to frequently asked questions.
