AUSTIN PUBLIC LIBRARY
Participants have said that this was the
best training Austin Public Library has ever done.
D.T., Organizational Development Coordinator
Austin Public Library, Austin, Texas
TETON COUNTY LIBRARY
I'm amazed by how much staff members can say after such
a short time.
P. R., Class Instructor
Teton County Library, Jackson, WY
The course materials exposed me to new vocabulary that I
would have never learned in school. The course also allowed us to "peer
practice" before speaking with Latino patrons.
C., Circulation Library Assistant
Teton County Library, Jackson, WY
The way we have learned Spanish is really practical and
effective. I especially liked partner work with dialogs and role-playing. It
feels great to be able to communicate!
D.S., Youth Services Supervisor
Teton County Library, Jackson, WY
Now that I have some basic Spanish speaking skills, our
Latino youth feel more comfortable approaching me for help with homework or with the
computers.
A., Youth Services Library Assistant
Teton County Library, Jackson, WY
It really does work! ... I have seen the
number of Latinos who frequent the library during the day increase dramatically now that
word has gotten out on the Latino grapevine that many members of the staff are proudly
wearing name tags that say, Estoy aprendiendo español, ¡Pregúnteme algo! (I'm
learning Spanish, Ask me something!)
J. S., Volunteer Coordinator
Teton County Library, Jackson, WY
MESA PUBLIC LIBRARY
¡Una clase fabulosa! ¡Profesora fabulosa! And
we didn't have to conjugate any verbs! Gracias!
P.H., Director
Mesa Public Library, Mesa, AZ
The classes were fun, informative and specifically
geared to typical library questions and responses. I would recommend this course to
anyone who's interested in being able to understand Spanish on a very basic level in an
effort to provide better customer service to our Spanish speaking patronage.
T. C., Branch Operations Supervisor
Dobson Ranch Branch Library
This will pay benefits to our patrons and
us for the rest of our careers.
D.J., Computer Trainer
Mesa Public Library, Mesa, AZ

SOUTHWESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
I was surprised at the speed at which the students began
creating their own sentences. The next day after each class, the students were using what
they had learned. Nothing motivates a student more than being able to use the language.
The course is great!
S.G., Instructor, Southwestern Community College
I liked the way the material started off
simply and then slowly built on our previous knowledge to give us a solid base for
communication. I especially liked the concentration on the spoken word. I
appreciated the approach that you did not have to be a master of the language to
understand and to be understood.
S.H., Teacher, Macon Middle School
